Position Summary

Particle4X is seeking a Research Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and optimization of advanced automated particle imaging systems. The position involves multidisciplinary engineering work combining mechanical design, robotics, embedded systems, computer vision, artificial intelligence, software development, and experimental validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated particle imaging and characterization systems integrating mechanical, electrical, optical, and software components.
• Create mechanical designs, 3D models, and engineering drawings for prototypes, instrument components, and motion-control assemblies using CAD tools.
• Develop and integrate embedded electronics, sensors, actuators, control systems, and data acquisition hardware.
• Program engineering software tools using Python, C++, MATLAB, or related technologies for system control, image acquisition, and data processing.
• Develop and optimize machine learning, computer vision, and image processing algorithms for particle detection and characterization.
• Design image-feedback control systems for automated instrument operation.
• Conduct prototype testing, system validation, data analysis, and performance optimization.
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering specifications, and validation reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
• Knowledge of robotics, mechanical design, electromechanical systems, control systems, programming, computer vision, or artificial intelligence.
